A random drawing for our grand prize to eligible entrants (the “Sweepstakes”) will be conducted by Small Business Expo LLC, a Florida limited liability company located at 110 E Broward Blvd, Suite 1700, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301 (“Sponsor”, “we”, “us”, “our”) at the National Virtual Small Business Expo on March 25, 2021 (the “Event”).
1. Prizes. Our grand prize is a cash give-away of $5,000 (the “Prize”).
2. Eligibility requirements. To enter the Sweepstakes, you must be a small business with twenty-five (25) or more employees who has registered with us for the Event via our website (located at: https://www.thesmallbusinessexpo.com/city/national-11/). When registering for the Event, select the option stating that your company has twenty-five (25) employees or more, and then check the box next to “Apply” indicating that you want to enter the Small Business Sweepstakes. Only registered entrants of the Event with twenty-five (25) or more employees , entered by a person with the capacity to enter into a binding legal agreement with us, are eligible to enter the Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes is open to residents of the United States only. All other persons, including without limitation Sponsor’s agents, employees and/or officers, including without limitation Microsoft (and their immediate families) are ineligible to participate in the Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes is void where prohibited.
3. How to Enter: All eligible Event registrants will be entered into the Sweepstakes drawing. Only one entry per eligible entrant. No purchase necessary.
4. Drawing; Odds. The Prize winner (“Winner”) will be determined by a random drawing conducted by Sponsor of all eligible entries received. The drawings for the Prize will occur towards or at the end of the Event. The Winner’s name will be announced at the Event immediately after the drawing. A Winner must demonstrate that it meets the eligibility requirements, or an alternate Winner will be selected. The Winner will be contacted via phone and email. If the Winner does not respond to us in writing within seven (7) business days upon being notified by us, then that Winner will forfeit the Prize and a new Winner will be selected by us. Only one Winner will receive the Prize. The odds of winning depend on the number of entries received by us.
5. Restrictions. A Winner may not substitute, assign or transfer a Prize for other consideration to any third party. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the Prize with an item of equal or greater value. Sponsor is not responsible for (i) the failure to submit a drawing entry due to error, (ii) any lost, late, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, incorrect, illegal, stolen or misplaced entries, (iii) electronic, network or computer failures or malfunctions, or (iv) failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission, hardware, software or technical errors of any kind including any injury or damage to any person’s computer, that may limit your ability to participate in the Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the Sweepstakes (or any portion thereof) if fraud, misconduct or technical failures impact the integrity of the Sweepstakes or if a computer virus, bug, or other technical problem corrupts the administration, security, or proper administration of the Sweepstakes, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.
6. Verification and Approval of Winner. Winner shall be required to provide certain basic information to us and to execute and return to an affidavit of eligibility and liability and publicity release. Failure to execute and deliver such a document may result in disqualification of Winner and selection of an alternate winner. Upon proper verification and approval, the Prize will be awarded to the Winner within fourteen (14) business days of the Prize grant, provided that a W9 form and all needed bank information has been provided by Winner to us (for payment by direct transfer or check). Winner will be listed by us and/or Microsoft in promotions of the Sweepstakes, and will be referred to with the “Sponsored by Microsoft” logo and in other like manners.
7. Conditions. By participating in the Sweepstakes, each entrant agrees: (1) to be bound by these Official Rules, (2) to comply with all federal, state and local laws and regulations; (3) that neither Sponsor nor Microsoft, nor any of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents or representatives are responsible or liable for any claim, injury, loss, harm, damages, costs or expenses, including, without limitation, property damage, personal injury and/or death, arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes, any Prize-related activities, or the acceptance, possession, use and/or misuse of the Prize; (4) that, except where prohibited by law, entry or acceptance of the Prize constitutes the grant of an unconditional right to use the Winner’s name, voice, likeness, photograph, address (city and state), biographical information, Prize information (including, without limitation, photographs of the Prize) and/or statements about the Sweepstakes for any publicity, advertising and promotional purposes for this or similar promotions without additional compensation; (5) that acceptance of the Prize constitutes a waiver of any claim in connection with the Prize to royalties, rights or remuneration for said use; (6) that all costs and expenses incurred by Winner in connection with the Prize, including applicable taxes and insurance (if any) are the Winner’s sole responsibility; and (7) that the internal laws of the State of Florida shall apply exclusively to the Sweepstakes and any dispute with respect to the Sweepstakes shall be resolved in either the federal or state courts located in Broward County, Florida. Sponsor reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Sweepstakes at any time for any reason.
