Shawn Forry is the National Creative Strategist and Lead National Producer/Director at Kernel, the internal creative agency for Spectrum Reach. He has a focused expertise in all phases of motion picture content production and its ability to effect advertising outcomes at the national, regional and local levels. Shawn’s career began in Los Angeles, Hollywood, and Chicago working for film, television, and commercial production companies like Touchstone Television, New Line Cinema, Towers Productions, A Band Apart, and Ka-chew!, the live-action commercial division of Klasky Csupo. He was fortunate to have worked on such brand accounts as Mattel, Budweiser and Alpo. Shawn earned his MFA

Shawn earned his MFA in Film and Television Production from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts. He was a finalist in the Coca-Cola Refreshing Filmmakers Contest, and his thesis film has been optioned internationally, recently being signed by NIKITA VENTURES for their Youtube Channel. Shawn also has a marketing background, earning his Bachelors in Business from the University of Notre Dame, where he double majored in Communications/Theatre and Art History. He will tell you that his marketing background has been a great asset to his creative career in advertising. Shawn has won over 25 national advertising awards including an Emmy, and has been represented as a writer by United Talent Agency. He is also one of the founders of Kernel’s Hispanic division “Juntos Con Kernel” and leads the Training Team.
