Sonya Kay Blake is the newly appointed Director of Community Business in Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti’s Office of Economic Development.  Formerly serving as the Governor’s Small Business Advocate, CEO of the National Association of Women Business Owners in Los Angeles, and a small business startup consultant to aspiring entrepreneurs in South Los Angeles, Sonya brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her dual role as the Mayor’s policy adviser on small business startup and growth, and his primary outreach representative to the small business community. She holds a BA degree from Yale University and MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management.
